Landscape Questions |

Squirrels have
planted pecans in every one of my container
plants on the patio. Can I transplant the
seedlings to the yard? Yes, plant them now
as bare root seedlings or replace the pot on
the patio with another one for your flowers
and let the pecans grow to be 18 inches to 24
inches tall before you transplant it to the
landscape. |

KEEPING SQUIRRELS OUT OF YOUR BIRD FEEDERS |

Is it a problem that
we have not harvested our carrots yet? They still seem
to taste good. When will the onions be ready to
harvest? Keep harvesting carrots as you need them
into May. They will be less tasty as the temperatures
increase. Onions are usually ready to harvest sometime
in May. Harvest them when the leaves flop over.

blooms of the pentas, which have some
shade tolerance. But don't put in new vinca
just yet. They love hot dry weather but they
may melt down if the humidity in late spring
gets too high.
