tomatoes to split at the top? Tomatoes split
when there is fluctuations in growth rate due to
water and temperature changes. In some conditions
the skin does not grow as quickly as the interior
of the fruit. To reduce cracking water every two
days with drip irrigation.

What is the best time of year to transplanting plum
trees? January or early February in order to allow

PLANTING SHADE TREES. Shade
trees are important in South Texas because they help
break the summer heat. This is important for the
survival of both plants and animals. They also make
life more comfortable for people. Trees planted
in November will be able to get their roots establish
over the winter months so they will be better able to
withstand the stress of the heat and dryness of next
summer. It is important to select trees that do well
in our South Texas climate and there are many to
choose from.
